In my last post, I told you about this business and left you in suspense that even the poor or people without capital can be involved in the business of buying and selling of houses and land for building. The question still remains; how?Like I said in my last post, the answer is simply defined. I told you about Debo Adejana who is a successful Real Estate Entrepreneur and was formerly a school teacher. He made this statement, “people should plan to become landlords with what they have at present”. His statement continues, “you do not need a mansion to solve your shelter problem”, that simply means you can start from somewhere – a humble beginning. Debo actually started with a two bedroom flat.



Going straight to the point, people without capital can venture into this business, because there are clearly defined opportunities in this business, with or without capital and no matter your financial or academic status. Now get these opportunities;

They advertise buildings or landed properties for sale to interested buyers, they also advise people on locations of a building or site and take you to the owner of the site or community where that site is located. It is advisable that you register with the associations involved in this role in your country, to avoid embarrassment, although people are still into this business without any form of registration. This job atually has no financial or academic limitation. It is easy to perform. All you just nedd to do is to consult with people or communities with properties for sale or for lease.



There is a programme studied in college called Estate Management, I am not trying to say those people do not have professional qualities different from an ordinary agent or consultant, but you too can make money from this venture as any successful sale, rent or lease will fetch you a percentage cash from the cost price of the property.



I think I will leave you with this food for thought: Can I nit be a part of this kind of business? People are making millions and acquiring their own properties by just being agents. You can make a whole lot of money from mass-producing materials for a single programme like a church event or any social ceremony. The materials should be customized with the name, address, of the organizers (church, individual or company, etc). The theme of the programme, date and venue as the case may be should be included; pictures of guest speakers(optional) can be included. Make sure you make use of a unique design.
